Sales up 25% in July
I hope that your Summer has been as active as the Canmore Real Estate market. July sales volume was 25% higher than in July 2017 and even with the smoke that rolled in for much of August the market in many price ranges has been active this entire Summer.
Inventory was 9 percent lower this July as compared to July of 2017. We are expecting September and October to be strong months as well as the seasonal increase of new listings along with buyers re-entering the market with a strong commitment to purchase after a Summer hiatus at the cottage or traveling with family.
The local market is very completive with some multiple offer situations occurring for the most coveted options. Typically, the local market also picks up in the Fall as many local people can take their eyes off of work a little to make some housing plans before Winter.
